Metric - An area or category of measurement. Examples are attendance, on-time shipment, and LPI. The metrics you choose should reflect the values of your company and your expectations of your employees.
 
Standard - The value given to a metric representing what you would expect from your employees at optimal performance, such as 100% on-time-deliveries the standard would be 100.
 
Performance - This is the actual score an employee/company receives in a given area (Metric). A high score would be good in one Metric such as On Time Shipments while a low score would be good in another such as Punctuality (which measures the number of times the employee arrived late).
 
Factor - (As opposed to "Performance".) An individual/company may have a certain performance score in a metric. This metric is turned into a factor as indicated on the Metric screen. say 30%. Factors for critical areas fall off more steeply. All of the factors for an individual/company for each metric are multiplied to obtain the overall bonus factor. The individual's Available Bonus is multiplied by the employee's Overall Bonus Factor to determine the actual bonus paid. Notice that mediocre performance in multiple areas quickly reduces the actual bonus paid.
